Reported collapsed Chiengi Bridge restored

The bridge that was earlier reported to have collapsed and cut off Chiengi District from the rest of the Country is now said to be passable.

Sub- Chief Natende of Chiengi District in Luapula province Katele Kalumba has disclosed to Qfm News by telephone that this has been made possible by the intervention of the members of the community.

Sub-Chief Natende says members of the community did this by hiring a grader which they used to remove the truck that was stuck on the bridge.

He says they also consolidated the bridge by fixing back its supporters that were dislocated.
