The International Fellowship of Christian Churches (IFCC) is urging government to consider funding students just as it funds the today today business of government.

IFCC president Simon Chihana says his organization is aware that government has certain of its wings that it knows very well that funding must be there no matter what the situations and circumstances are.

Bishop Chihana states that government must in the same manner also consider the plight students in public high learning institutions.

He is concerned that most of the young people in colleges and universities come from families that are heavily struggle to put bread on the table and their only hope is through the bursaries.

Bishop Chihana notes that when these bursaries are thus delayed, it begins to create a certain heavy emotional tension within the hearts of the students involved.

He has advised that government must also change the way it finances the Ministry of Education by allocating more funds than any other ministry in the Country.
