The Private Sector Development Association (PSDA) has cautioned Political parties vying to govern the country to be mindful that investors are interested in seeing stability in Zambia after the August 11th general election.

PSDA Chairperson Yusuf Dodia says investors fully understand that politicians are only there to formulate policy and management systems that determine how investors who generate wealth are going to operate.

He has told QTV News that this means that it is up to politicians to exhibit maturity in how they conduct their political campaigns especially given the projection that 2016 will be a very challenging year.

Mr. Dodia says campaigns should therefore be about politicians explaining how they are going to grow the economy and improve the lives of the Zambian people.

He states that it will be immature for politicians to threaten investors and industries in their campaigns as such practices are scotch earthed policies not good for the economy.

And Mr. Dodia says it is hoped government will translate the drop in global crude oil prices into a reduction in fuel pump prices.

He notes that there is a good argument for government to reduce fuel pump prices to as low as K6.00 per litre.
