The opposition political parties have condemned the violence unleashed on supporters of Democratic Front president Miles Sampa by Patriotic Front cadres at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport on Saturday.

MMD Spokesperson Raphael Nakachinda says it is worrying to see PF cadres do things contrary to what President Lungu is saying.

Mr. Nakachinda says President Lungu has spoken against political violence in the country, violence cases appear to be on the increase.

Meanwhile, Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) Spokesperson Antonio Mwanza charged that the PF will never stop their barbaric behavior, despite them preaching about peace.

And All People’s Congress (APC) Leader Nason Msoni has advised the ruling party to desist from acts of violence.

Mr. Msoni fears that if violence is allowed to continue, it will affect campaigns for the August 11 elections.
