PF members in Matero welcome Miles’ resignation

Patriotic Front (PF) members in Matero constituency have welcomed the resignation of area Member of Parliament Miles Sampa from the ruling party.

Hundreds of jubilant PF members, who gathered at the party’s Matero Constituency office this morning, accused Mr. Sampa of being a threat to the growth of the party.

And Matero Constituency Chairman Crispin Kabole has told QFM News that the members are happy that Mr. Sampa has resigned after they earlier petitioned party Secretary General Davies Chama to expel him.

He says Mr. Sampa’s loyalty to the ruling party came into question after the convention in Kabwe that he could not be trusted.

And Matero Constituency Youth Chairman Robby Mubanga says the youths are happy that Mr. Sampa has left the party.

meanhiwle Some concerned Patriotic Front youths in Lusaka have asked President Edgar Lungu to pick a running mate who comes from Luapula province.

In a walk-in interview with QFM, the youths who spoke through Raphael Chibale feel picking a running mate from Luapula province will counter what they have termed as the destruction being caused in Bemba speaking territories by UPND vice President for Administration Geoffrey Mwamba and Matero Member of Parliament Miles Sampa who resigned from the ruling party yesterday.

President Edgar Lungu has recently indicated that he has a wide choice of people to pick his running mate from.
