MMD not moved by Lupando’s joining UPND

The opposition MMD says it is not moved by the surprise move taken by former republican vice President Lupando Mwape to join the UPND.

MMD Spokesperson Raphael Nakachinda says Mr. Mwape has no following for him to help the UPND win elections.

He says the former ruling party is focused on mobilizing its structures and ensure it retains to power in the forthcoming elections.

Mr. Nakachinda is optimist that the MMD will retain power because Zambians still retain confidence in the party owing to its performance while in government.
