Chama defends President Lungu’s economic record

Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Chama has defended President Lungu’s handling of the economy.

He says the weakening of the Kwacha and other economic challenges the country is facing are as a result of external shocks and have nothing to do with President Lungu’s leadership.

Mr. Chama says it is therefore unfair for opposition political parties and other stakeholders to blame President Lungu for the economic challenges facing the country.

He states that the economic challenges facing the country are a source of concern to everyone including the President, the more reason why government is putting measures in place to address them.

Mr.Chama adds that the Zambian people are aware that the challenges the country is facing are global.
