ADD President Charles Milupi
Opposition Alliance for Democracy and Development (ADD) President Charles Milupi fears the poor rainfall pattern being experienced in the country will worsen the hunger situation in Western Province.
Mr. Milupi has disclosed to Qfm News that his recent visits to Kalabo, Lukulu West, Nalolo, Nalolo West, Shango’mbo and Sesheke have revealed fears of the hunger situation worsening in the province.
He notes that winter maize had totally failed in these areas which normally allow for the growing of such early maturing maize due to the soils which however had remained dry last year.
Mr. Milupi says the end result is that people are now scrounging for all sorts of things to survive while they wait for the harvest from rainfall fed crops.
