Zambia Army Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff Major General Topply Lubaya has hailed the American and British Governments for their continued support to the Army through training and provision of logistics during the United Nations pre deployment training.

Speaking during the official opening of the United Nations pre deployment training for 730 troops earmarked for peacekeeping in the Central Africa Republic at Nanking Army battle training area in Lusaka in Lusaka today, General says cooperating partners have helped supplement government’s efforts in rendering financial and material support to the Zambia Army.

General Lubaya says the Zambian Battalion deployed to Central African Republic has performed extremely well and that the United Nations has seen it fit the Zambia to continue participating in the mission.

He urged the troops to take the training seriously and emulate what the Battalion already deployed to the Central African Republic has done and encouraged them to even perform better.
