Veteran Politician Vernon Mwaanga
Elections Expert Stanley Mhango says the statement attributed to veteran politician Vernon Mwaanga alleging that the PF will rig the elections is unfortunate.
Mr. Mhango says it is such statements that contribute to acts of violence and conflicts between political parties as well as voter apathy as people tend to lose the morale to vote.
Mr. Mhango says Dr. Mwaanga should be playing the role of counseling and reconciliation amongst political parties.
He adds that Mr. Mwaanga should play the role of a statesman and act as bridge between political parties.
Mr. Mhango says the statements attributed to Dr Mwaanga are unfortunate as they do not contribute to free and fair elections but instill and create a perception in the people that the results of the 11th august 2016 elections are already predetermined.
He has further encouraged people to be careful with their statements as the country heads towards the tripartite elections.
