Power deficit barrier to reducing poverty levels in Zambia – Msoni

All People’s Congress (APC) President Nason Msoni says the power deficit experienced in the country has defeated the efforts the nation has made over the passed 50 years in alleviating poverty in the country.

Mr. Msoni says there is no doubt that the power deficit has taken the nation backwards in alleviating poverty.

He says there is no need of keeping visionless leaders in office who cannot plan well for the nation.

Mr. Msoni says because of lack of proper planning on the part of government, it will be difficult to reduce poverty levels in the country.

The APC Leader has since challenged government to tell the nation its plan in dealing with this challenge in the country.
