PF member praises Lungu

A PF member says it is shocking that some vocal opposition political parties who were pushing the PF to give Zambians a new constitution are blaming President Lungu for signing into law the constitution bills.

Augustine Carrasco Mwewa says President Lungu did not mind whether some clauses in the adopted constitution may work against him but that he put the interests of Zambians first.

Mr. Mwewa says a good leader should not think about his interests but serve the people first and address their needs.

He says there is need for all political party leaders to respect and appreciate the new constitution saying if they win elections they will swear to uphold the same constitution.

He adds that the move by certain political party leaders not to appreciate the new constitution exposes what kind of leaders they are saying they are not fit to occupy any public office.

Mr. Mwewa states that the opposition will not have any other items to use as de-campaign tool against the PF considering that the constitution was delivered to the people.

The PF Member has since appealed to Zambians to support President Lungu saying he means well for the nation.
