The Zambia Consumer Association (ZACA) has applauded President Edgar Lungu for signing into law the constitution bill number 17 of 2015 saying it will bring sanity in governance and political cycles.

In a statement made available to QFM News today, ZACA Information and Publicity Secretary Juba Sakala says the move by the Head of State replicates First Republican President Dr Kenneth Kaunda in 1990 when he signed Article 4 of the Constitution of Zambia which allowed the people of Zambia to form Political Parties.

Mr. Sakala says his organization has joined all well-meaning Zambians by congratulating President Lungu saying this has put concerns and worries of people to rest and it will once more enhance investor confidence.

He says this is a milestone in Zambian politics and it has also shown that there is hope at the end of tunnel for other issues like the Bill of Rights to be looked at in the referendum.

He states that a lot of resources have been spent on this process saying it is comforting that some positives have been recorded.

Mr. Sakala says this is gift for all Zambians as 2016 presents a new beginning in the Zambian politics.
