It’s frustrating that some opposition are now backpedaling on 50% +1 clause – Bwalya

The ruling Patriotic Front says it’s frustrating that some opposition political parties are now backpedaling on the 50 plus 1 clause.

PF Central Committee chairperson for Information Father Frank Bwalya says Zambians must find it hard to understand that the same political parties that were championing for this clause are now against it.

Father Bwalya says he is personally afraid that such change of positions will reflect badly on Zambia’s politics.

Father Bwalya was speaking at a media briefing in Lusaka today.

And Father Bwalya has disclosed that his party has taken note of some media organizations in the Country that have decided to support a particular presidential candidate and political party.

He says the PF is challenging such media organizations to come out in the open and tell the truth so that people can know how to treat their messages.
