Nkana have confirmed that striker Jimmy Ndhlovu has handed in a transfer request to return to Power Dynamos.

Ndhlovu spent a successful one-and-half year loan stint at Power before returning to their Kitwe arch-rivals last July.

Nkana chief executive officer Ken Mwansa said the club will not stand in the way of Ndhlovu’s decision to leave the club again, this time on a permanent deal.

“Jimmy has pushed in a request, he wants to go back to Power Dynamos and we are likely to sit down and negotiate with them sometime next week,” Mwansa said.

Ndhlovu scored 8 goals for Power last season before heading back to Nkana where he struggled to find the back of the net on his way to finishing the 2015 campaign with 10 goals.

The striker had in his initial season on loan at Power finished as the clubs’ top scorer on 14 goals, one behind that years’ Golden Boot winner and ex-Zesco United forward Jackson Mwanza.

Ndhlovu joined Nkana in 2013 from Zesco United but found very little playing opportunities after facing strong competition from Ronald Kampamba.

Meanwhile, Nkana kicked off their pre-2016 season training on January 4 in Kitwe under coach Aggrey Chiyangi with Ndholvu conspicuously missing from practice pending his prospective move to Power.
