The Grand Coalition on the Campaign for the People Driven Constitution says it will boycott tomorrow‘s ceremony where President Edgar Lungu will assent to the Constitution Bills.

Coalition Spokesperson MacDonald Chipenzi has told Qfm News by telephone that the Grand Coalition does not want to be part of a process it disagreed with earlier.

He says the Coalition feels the event at Heroes stadium is meant to hoodwink the people of Zambia that they now have a new people driven Constitution when in fact not.

He says the Grand Coalition still holds the view that what the people of Zambia will have after President Lungu assents to the Bills tomorrow is a PF government driven constitution.

Mr. Chipenzi states that the character of such a constitution is therefore not known to the Grand Coalition for it to be validated.

He adds that the Grand Coalition has further resolved not to engage in any activity that will suggest disapproval prior and during the actual assenting to the Bills.
