UPND president Hakainde Hichilema has wished the people of Zambia an enjoyment of God’s blessings as they enter the new year of 2016.

Mr. Hichilema says as people across the country bring to a close a difficult 2015, in which food prices have pushed the cost of living sky high and job shortages have left many without the opportunity to make a decent living, his party’s message is that 2016 can be a turnaround year for Zambia.

In a statement to Qfm News Mr. Hichilema has observed that the potential within the people of Zambia and their Country’s borders remains truly great.
Mr. Hichilema believes that with a caring and intelligent government that is willing to work hard, root out corruption and understands that it is the job of elected officials to serve the Zambian people and not themselves, Zambians can achieve great things.

He says his party the UPND’s appeal to Zambians is that they cannot merely wish these things.

Mr. Hichilema is urging people in the Country to wary that they must be responsible for making these wishes happen.

He states that people must act to make sure that these things happen by taking personal responsibility to ensure that the Zambia they live in is the Zambia they all want.

The UPND leader notes that as the people of Zambia enter 2016, they should all have aspirations.

He does not think people should go into this important year without setting personal goals that they would like to achieve.

The opposition leader notes that having aspirations will make it easy to know who among the pool of politicians will come through for them to achieve their personal aspirations.

He believes that Zambian can move forward, but that to make this happen in 2016 UPND is calling upon all Zambians to arm themselves with NRCs and voters cards and to mobilize and join the movement for change and progress.
