The Zambia Council for Social Development (ZCSD) has commended the government for banning Casualization of labour and unjustifiable termination of contracts.

ZCSD Executive Secretary Lewis Mwape says the challenge now is for government to ensure that the law is effectively implemented.
He notes that the move is a positive one which will help the workers who have for a long time been abused by their employers.
Mr. Mwape has however; cautioned government to be careful with the implementation of the law, stating that if not careful, a good law may be abused.
He also says if not handled well, the ban on Casualization of labour might lead to increased joblessness in the country as employers might resort to only hiring a few essential workers.
Mr. Mwape has further urged employers to comply with the law.
