Political Summit to be held in February 2016

The Zambia Center for Inter Party Dialogue (ZCID) has announced that it will hold the first ever Democratic Stakeholders Summit in February 2016 to allow politicians resolve their differences.

ZCID Executive Director Horrance Chilando tells QFM News via telephone that the three day summit will start with a general conference where political parties are expected to discuss issues pertaining to next year’s elections.

Mr. Chilando has explained that the ZCID Board which comprises of political party leaders agreed during a meeting held in September to hold the summit so as to reach a consensus on issues arising in the political sphere.

He says the summit which will bring together all political players including governance stakeholders will also discuss how the 2016 general election can be held in a peaceful atmosphere.

Mr. Chilando adds that his organization is in the process of engaging cooperating partners to help in ensuring that the summit is a success.
