YALI praises Lungu over stance on violence

Republican President Edgar Lungu has been praised for his statement that he was not willing to spill blood to remain in State House in the event he lost next year’s elections.

YALI President Andrew Nthewewe has however urged President Lungu to follow up his affirmation by ensuring that the pockets of political violence being witnessed in the country are addressed ahead of the 2016 election.

Mr. Nthewewe says if indeed the Head of State is not ready to spill the blood of innocent Zambians, his commitment should be seen now when the country is recording pockets of violence.

Mr. Nthewewe states that this is especially that it is the same political parties that are in a habit of perpetrating violence.
