Msoni calls for level playing field for all political parties

All People’s Congress Party president Nason Msoni has called for a level playing field for all political parties ahead of the 2016 elections.

Mr. Msoni says the prevailing situation where Police are preventing opposition parties from holding meetings with their members is worrying.

He says this is considering that while opposition political parties are being stopped from holding party gatherings, the ruling party is being allowed to hold meetings of a similar nature.

Mr. Msoni notes that this is working to the disadvantage of the opposition political parties, while working to the advantage of the ruling party.

Mr. Msoni says this unacceptable and undemocratic.

He has called for the need to grant all political parties equal opportunities to meet their members as they prepare themselves for next year’s general election.

Mr. Msoni has since implored the Police to be fair and treat all political parties equally.
