President Edgar Lungu has been urged to ignore people holding him back from signing into law the recently passed constitution amendment bill.
Zambian Voice Executive Director Chilufya Tayali says president Lungu should ignore the petition by Heritage Party President Brigadier General Godfrey Miyanda and assent to the constitution bill.
He says Zambians have waited for the new constitution for too long and cannot wait any longer.
Mr. Tayali says what was passed in the constitution amendment bill is what the people of Zambia wanted; hence the urgent need for the president to assent to the bill.
He has since urged President Lungu to go with the wishes of the majority of the Zambian people.
