I will not spill any blood just to remain in office – Lungu

Republican President Edgar Lungu says he will not spill any blood just to remain in office during next year’s general elections.

And the Head of State has called on politicians in the country to turn to God for the continuity of peace in the country.

President Lungu says he is not ashamed to encourage his fellow politicians in the country to turn to God saying things move well when one has God in his heart.

President Lungu has encouraged the church not to relent but always encourage politicians and Zambians as a whole to seek the face of God.

And President Lungu says he is not ready to create chaos in the country and but that he should be given space to work to the best of his abilities.

He says there is also need for Zambians to respect each other in order to promote peace and stability in the country.

The Head of State said this at State House this afternoon during an interdenominational Thanks Giving Service organized by Bible Gospel Church in Africa (BIGOCA).
