Police Spokesperson Charity Munganga
Popular Kanyama traditional Healer Dr. Kalonga Kanono was last night arrested after the people of Kanyama decided to riot after they suspected that he had defiled a 16 year old girl.
Police Spokesperson Charity Munganga has confirmed to Qfm News that 8 people were also arrested in connection with the riotous behavior.
Ms. Munganga notes that Dr. Kalonga Kanono was arrested in connection with other cases he is alleged to have committed prior to the defilement cases.
She says police are still investigating the defilement case and has appealed to members of the community in Kanyama and everywhere else not to take law in their hands but report any perpetrator of crime to the police.
Ms. Munganga has further encouraged the people of Kanyama to stay calm stressing that the law shall take its course and if Dr. Kalonga is found wanting, he will face the law.
