PREO Director Derrick Malumo
The Prisoner Reintegration and Empowerment Organization (PREO) has commended President Edgar Lungu for pardoning five hundred and two (502) convicted prisoners on the occasion to commemorate Christmas Day.
PREO Director Derrick Malumo has however encouraged government to go a mile further by also empowering the pardoned prisoners.
Mr. Malumo has told QFM News via telephone that prisoners fail to cope up with life when they come out of prison and thus the need to empower them financially.
He says reintegration process is very important for ex prisoners which all stakeholders must support.
He adds that his organization will try by all means to help the pardoned prisoners to be reintegrated in societies.
