LAZ President George Chisanga says this is the only way the country can reduce incidents of political violence.

And Mr. Chisanga has taken a swipe on Inspector General of Police Kakoma Kanganja’s justification that Police acted within the law when they fired tear gas canisters to disperse MMD members who had gathered for an indoor meeting in Lundazi addressed by party President Nevers Mumba recently.

He says it is unfortunate that such remarks came from the highest ranking Police officer in the country.

The LAZ President tells QFM News that on the contrary, the Police action in Lundazi is unjustifiable.

Mr. Chisanga has further warned that if Police fail to control political violence leading to the 2016 elections, this will raise questions as to whether 2016 general elections will be free and fair.
