First Lady hails Lafarge

First Lady Esther Lungu has hailed Lafarge Zambia for its corporate social responsibility in the community it operates.

Mrs. Lungu is particularly happy that barely a year after inaugurating the Lafarge Foundation, the Cement manufacturing company is committing itself to imparting the spirit of giving among children.

Speaking when she officiated at the Lafarge fun day in Chilanga were Lafarge gave away 500 schools bags worthy K75 000 to children of Freedom compound today, Mrs. Lungu who is also patron of the Lafarge Foundation has encouraged other corporate entities in the country to emulate Lafarge’s corporate responsibility.

She says the giveaway of 500 schools bags as Christmas gifts to the children of Freedom compound will leave a lasting impression in their lives.

Mrs. Lungu says children will start their 2016 not only empowered to do well in school, but also happy and equipped for success.
