Grand Coalition says its capacity shouldn’t be underestimated

The Grand Coalition for a people driven constitution says its capacity to de-campaign the ruling Patriotic Front ahead of the 2016 elections should not be underestimated.

Coalition Spokesperson MacDonald Chipezi says they will use structures of member organizations on the ground to de-campaign the ruling party.

He says the Grand Coalition will not embark on de-campaigning the PF because they have been paid or funded, but because they want the people of Zambia to have a people driven constitution.

Mr. Chipenzi says Zambians are not interested in piecemeal amendments to the constitution but want a whole new constitution.

He states that there is no need therefore to question where the Grand Coalition will get funds to de-campaign the PF because its members have branches countrywide which they can use.

He has further reiterated that the Coalition will support a political party that is willing to give the people of Zambia a people driven constitution.
