Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Chama says Southern Province is no longer a stronghold of the UPND.
Mr. Chama says his recent party mobilization tour of the province has revealed that the ruling party is gaining ground and becoming popular among the people in the province.
He says the people of Southern Province have realized that President Edgar Lungu is in fact not segregative as some opposition leaders have tried to portray him and the PF government.
Mr. Chama says people in the province are beginning to see and appreciate the development taking place in all Districts in the province.
He has disclosed to Qfm News by telephone the infrastructure development that is taking place in Choma following its declaration as the provincial capital has cheered many people he has interacted with.
Mr. Chama adds that the ongoing construction of Kazungula Bridge is also another development that is making people to appreciate that Southern Province has not been left out.
He says he is therefore convinced that people in the Province are now resolved to work with the PF government.
