FDA President Ludwig Sondashi
Forum for Democratic Alternatives (FDA) President Ludwig Sondashi says the constitution bill passed by Parliament is fifty percent okay.
Dr. Sondashi who is also a constitutional lawyer explains that it is fifty percent in the sense that it is a piecemeal constitution and not a completely new constitution.
He notes that the passage of the constitution bill is a step forward in the constitution making process.
Dr. Sondashi however says that he would loved to see a constitution which should have reduced the presidential powers.
He states that the challenge now is on the implementers to effectively implement what was passed in the constitution bill.
He adds that there is also need to find ways of effectively dealing with the challenges that will come with its implementation.
Dr. Sondashi also hopes that the constitution will help improve the governance system in the country and move the country forward.
