Lamar Odom’s battle back to health continues. According to ET Online, the former Los Angeles Laker continues to struggle with speech, memory, and walking two months after he was discovered unconscious at a Las Vegas ranch.
“He’s not doing great,” a source said. “His speech is still slurred and he can barely walk on his own yet. He forgets a lot of people’s names, sometimes even his own. He definitely has some memory loss.”
Odom, who suffered kidney failure and a series of strokes at the beginning of his hospitalization, was said to be gradually improving last week.
“He actually gets a little better every day,” the insider told Us Weekly. “He talks a bit more each day and walks with a walker, but still has trouble processing his thoughts. It’s very slow but little by little.”
Though Odom’s recovery may take longer than the year and a half that his wife Khloe Kardashian stated last month, the New York native can count on the support of the Kardashian Klan.
According to reports, the family visits the former NBA Sixth Man of the Year frequently. And just days before Thanksgiving, Kanye West treated Odom to an exclusive listen of his long-awaited album, SWISH.
Kim Kardashian took to her website to detail Odom’s reaction.
“We did visit Lamar today, and we played him his new album [SWISH],” Kim said as Kanye smiled. “And then when I was done I said, ‘Did you like the music?’ and he said, ‘Loved it.’”
