GC assures Zambians of continued pressure on constitution

The Grand Coalition on the Campaign for the People Driven Constitution has reassured Zambians that it remains committed to ensuring that their interests continue being upheld by government.

Grand Coalition Spokesperson Macdonald Chipenzi says this is in spite of government’s refusal to meet its demands that the new republican constitution be adopted through a national referendum.

In an interview by telephone, Mr. Chipenzi has disclosed to Qfm News that to this effect, the Grand Coalition will this Thursday hold a media briefing on the Post Parliamentary constitution making process.

Mr. Chipenzi notes that besides giving its views on the passed Constitution Bills, the Grand Coalition will this also disclose how it will engage itself ahead of the 2016 general election.

He says it will be during this same media briefing that the Coalition will also justify why it should continue or cease to exist following the effected amendments to republican constitution.
