MMD National Secretary Bowman Lusambo
The MMD Youths have described late former UPND Deputy Secretary General Kuchunga Simusamba as someone who interacted very well with youth wings across party lines.
MMD National Youth Secretary Bowman Lusambo says Mr. Simusamba was very approachable, intelligent and his engagements with the youths were always insightful citing that they interacted with him in a very civil and progressive way as they sought answers to the many challenges facing the nation.
Mr. Lusambo says Mr. Simusamba was a great asset to the country’s democratic development as a nation noting that his eloquence and depth of understanding modern politics was impeccable as he clearly distinguished himself as a different breed of UPND politician.
He has however expressed disappointment at the manner in which the UPND neglected Mr. Simusamba months leading up to his untimely death citing that it was clear that his health was falling but that the UPND neglected to offer him specialized health care services abroad and allowed him in and out of local hospital without any improvement to his health.
Mr. Lusambo has further encouraged the people of Zambia to gather and mourn their departed comrade with respect and in dignity.
