MMD National Secretary Bowman Lusambo says he finds UPND Leader Hakainde Hichilema’s statements questioning President Edgar Lungu’s resolve to fighting corruption as the highest level of hypocrisy.
In a statement to QFM News today, Mr. Lusambo says it is shocking that Mr. Hichilema elected to downplay the significance of President Lungu’s statements on International Day of Corruption by alleging that the PF administration is not fighting corruption.
Mr. Lusambo says President Lungu must be supported by all Zambians for his emphasis that he will not to shield any public officials found to be corrupt.
He says it is the firm conviction of the MMD youths that Mr. Hichilema should be the last person to lecture anyone about fighting corruption.
He wonders why Mr. Hichilema fails to give satisfactory answers each time he is asked about his source of wealth and how he earned it during privatization.
Meanwhile, Mr. Lusambo has praised Members of Parliament for passing the constitution amendment bill number 17 of 2015 with amendments saying it will change the political dynamics in the country.
