Speaking when he met 10 university of Zambia (UNZA) engineering students who will be trained to work on the solar milling plants project, ZCF Executive Director James Chirwa says once the country imposes a raw material export ban, the country will be able resuscitate the Kwacha, unlike the case is where the country is exporting low value and importing high value materials.

Mr. Chirwa states that by exporting raw materials, the country is in actual sense exporting jobs, value as well as industrial development to other countries.

He says ZCF has thus put in place a strategic business plan that is focusing on rural industrialization as a way of taking development where production of raw material happens and also as a way of appreciating that the rural areas are part of the country.

Mr. Chirwa has since implored the students to be the drivers of the innovation so that the project of solar milling plants is successful and achieves its intended purpose of stabilizing the price of mealie meal and making it affordable for the poor majority Zambians.
