TIZ Executive Director Goodwell Lungu notes the lack of mechanisms to have whistle blowers protected.

Mr. Lungu says some whistle blowers have ended up being dismissed from employment with others suspended and that ACC is fully aware of such instances.

He states that failure by the ACC do to protect whistle blowers will render the presidential speech during the international anti corruption day a mere academic exercise.

Mr. Lungu says whistle blowers are important in the fight against corruption and hence the need to protect them.
