Ashley Cole ‘expecting first baby with girlfriend’

ASHLEY Cole is reportedly expecting a baby with his girlfriend.

The footballer, who was previously married to Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, will become a dad next year.

According to The Sun, the ex-England player and his Italian model girlfriend Sharon Canu are expecting a boy.

The newspaper reports that Cheryl has been made aware of the news, but “not from him”.

Sharon and Ashley met last summer when he joined AS Roma. She is said to be “ecstatic” about the pregnancy.

A source added: “Ashley’s over the moon, too. He couldn’t wait to find out the baby’s sex and he’s chuffed that it’s a boy.”

“Sharon’s sweet and from a normal Italian family. His friends and family love her.”

The baby will be the first child for professional footballer Ashley, who started dating Cheryl Fernandez-Versini back in 2004.

Cheryl, who is now married to Jean-Bernard, married Cole in 2006 but divorced in 2010 citing “unreasonable behaviour” for the reason behind the split.

Talking to InStyle Magazine about the split, Cheryl said: “”To be honest, I coped in public and crumbled in private.”
