ZNS chief urges increased Zambia- Malawi collaboration

Zambia National Service Commandant Lieutenant General Nathan Mulenga says increased collaboration between the defence forces of Zambia and Malawi will continue to foster peace and stability.

Lt. Gen. Mulenga said the defence forces in the two countries have over the years remained united with several areas of cooperation which have ultimately contributed to the promotion of unity and peace in the region.

Lt. Gen. Mulenga made the remarks when he paid a courtesy call on Zambia’s High Commissioner to Malawi Salome Mwananshiku in Lilongwe.

The ZNS Chief is in Malawi on an exchange visit at the invitation of the Malawi Defence Force (MDF) Commander Major General Ignacio Maulana.

He said his bilateral engagement with the MDF will focus on training and increased cooperation between the defence forces in the two countries, among other pertinent issues.

And High Commissioner Mwananshiku said the Mission will continue to work towards strengthening further the relations between the two countries for the betterment of the people.
