He is of the view that if besides the Energy Regulation Board, government and the Zambia Development Agency will have footage in this process it is going to create fatigue in the framework.

Mr. Mutati has told Qfm News in an interview that the Energy Regulation Board should do a clean up by not recycling failed programmes and processes.

He says he is to this effect excited to see what number of Tariffs for renewable sources of energy that Energy Regulation Board will come up with.

The Former Commerce Minister who is also Lunte Member of Parliament has also advised government to start thinking about restructuring and unbundling ZESCO particularly at power distribution point.

He says this is especially that as the Country begins to bring on board renewable energies such as Solar the power generation point is somewhat already disbanded.

Mr. Mutati is however of the view that power transmission can remain a single player.

He thinks that in order to achieve the efficiencies that the country wants, the impact on tariffs and delivery, urgent consideration must be given to unbundle the distribution component of ZESCO.
