Former Kazungula Council Chairman Elias Siamibila has expressed concern that the mobile issuance of National Registration Cards and voter’s cards in Kazungula are being done haphazardly.
Mr. Siamibila who is also Nyawa Ward Councilor in Kazungula has told Qfm News that the two exercises seem not to have been properly planned.
He notes that apart from people not being told where the two exercises are being conducted, the distance from the area where the NRC issuance is taking place and where the voter registration exercise is being conduct is too long.
Mr. Siamibila has wondered why voter education is also not part of the ongoing voter registration exercise.
He says the people of Kazungula are being disfranchised.
