Kabwe District Commissioner Patrick Chishala is happy with the ongoing voter registration exercise in the district.
Mr. Chishala says the response from the people of Kabwe is overwhelming and sends a message that the people of Kabwe are eager to exercise their rights to vote.
He says it is encouraging to see young people turning out in large numbers to obtain their voter’s cards.
Mr Chishala notes that it is important that young people and Zambians as a whole obtain the voter’s cards so that they take part in the 2016 general election.
Mr. Chishala states that the ongoing voter registration exercise is a rare opportunity that people should take advantage of so that come next year, they elect leaders of their choice.
He says it is the right of every eligible Zambian to vote and thus it is important that the people register as voters.
