Job losses are inevitable- Mulongoti

People’s Party President Mike Mulongoti says job losses in the country are inevitable in view of the challenges the country is facing such as load shedding.

Mr. Mulongoti says many companies would not be able to keep their workforce at best levels because of reduced production as a result of load shedding, depreciation of the kwacha among other things.

Mr. Mulongoti has noted that most companies have lost millions of Kwacha due to reduced production hours as a result of load shedding.

He says Government consider giving incentives to investors in the energy sector as a way of encouraging more investment in the sector, apart from should put measures in place to help mitigate the current situation.
