The opposition UPND has doubted the commitment by the PF Government to revise the Public Order Act.

UPND Chairman for Rural Reconstruction and Development Mapani Moono says from the word go, the PF has shown no commitment in addressing the concerns raised by stakeholders concerning the revision of the Public Order Act.

Mr. Moono states that Home Affairs Minister Davies Mwila should not even put the blame on stakeholders that they have not submitted their contributions towards the revision of the act saying most stakeholders have submitted their contributions already.

He says there is no doubt that the party in power is happy with the current form of the act as it favors them to manipulate the police service.

Meanwhile, Mr. Moono has encouraged President Lungu to show to the nation that indeed his party and government are truly fighting tribalism in the country.

He says the Head of State during his address to parliament indicated how much he hates tribalism which he says should be accompanied by action.

He recalls that President Lungu and PF secretary General are on record issuing tribal remarks saying they should show leadership by not tolerating negative vices such as tribalism.
