There is no link between govt, Church – Christian Coalition

The Christian Coalition has observed that there is no link between the church and the government currently.

Coalition President Dr. Charles Mwape says his organisation therefore wants the opposition and the party in government to assure the nation that they will establish a religious desk when they form government or continue in government after the 2016 elections.

Dr. Mwape says if the country has to call itself a Christian nation, there should be a link between the government and the church.

He says this will help the church and government work together, but without men of God aligning themselves to the government.

He notes that the country has a few respected Men of God because the majority tend align themselves to the government.

Dr Mwape says while clergymen should be accorded respect, their conduct should match with their titles.

Dr. Mwape says church and government are partners, but that this partnership should not only exist when something has wrong in the country.

He stresses that the establishment of a religious desk will help government to approach the church anytime, while the church will directly advice government.
