Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) Chairperson Justice Esau Chulu says the commission awaits further direction from Parliament with regards the holding of the 2016 tripartite elections alongside the constitutional referendum.
Justice Chulu says this is considering that the issue of holding 2016 polls alongside the constitutional referendum is before Parliament and has not yet been finalized.
He says once Parliament debates the issue and passes a bill; the commission will proceed accordingly.
Meanwhile, Justice Chulu says the concerns raised by some opposition political parties regarding the ongoing campaigns in Solwezi West and Lubansenshi constituencies have been handled by the District Conflict Management Committees.
