Njombi, Kasonso, Mbaya, all claim will get Solwezi West

The three candidates contesting the Solwezi West Parliamentary by-elections slated for 24th September have all expressed confidence to scoping the seat.

United National Independent Party (UNIP) candidate John Njombi says he is 100 percent confident of winning the seat left vacant by the untimely death of incumbent Humphrey Mwanza.

Mr. Njombi says he is gaining ground, adding that come September 24th this year, he will emerge victorious.

He has promised to work on the road networks and address the problems facing the people of Solwezi West.

And United Party for National Development (UPND) Solwezi west candidate Teddy Kasonso bragged that none of the other contestants that are vying for the same seat are a match for him, saying his popularity among the people is overwhelming.

Mr. Kasonso says one of his priority areas that he will focus on once voted into office will be the provision of quality primary health care, education and water.

Meanwhile ruling Patriotic Front (PF) candidate Martin Mbaya says he will ensure that challenges in the health sector are addressed.

Mr. Mbaya says he will accelerate social- economic development and in the newly created two districts in Solwezi West namely Mushindano and Kalumbila.

The three candidates said this in a telephone interview with Qfm news today.
