The Zambia National Women’s Lobby (ZNWL) is saddened by the death of former United Party for National Development (UPND) Secretary General Winstone Chibwe.
The ZNWL has since extended its condolences to the Chibwe Family and members of the UPND on the death of their former party Secretary General.
In a statement to Qfm News ZNWL Information management and networking officer Victoria Phiri has observed that Mr. Chibwe has died at a time when the party and the nation at large still need his services.
Ms. Phiri says the ZNWL will remember Mr. Chibwe as a seasoned politician who was receptive to divergent views and was instrumental in the co-option of women into the party’s leadership structures.
She has also encouraged the bereaved family to put their trust in God to give them strength during their difficult time.
