Zambian dies, three others injured in SA traffic accident

JohannesburgOne Zambian has died while three others have sustained injuries after their vehicle overturned in the early hours of today in South Africa.

The deceased has been named as Philemon Kangwa while Pauline Nalumango, Lwamba Ngande and the other person, who is believed to be of Malawian nationality, are the ones that have been reported to have sustained injuries.

President of the Zambia Association in South Africa Ferdinand Simaanya has confirmed the incident saying that the accident happened around 02:00 hours this morning on Peter road in Roodeport, Johannesburg.

Mr. Simaanya has disclosed that deceased was declared dead at the scene of the accident while Ms. Nalumango and Mr. Ngande have been admitted to Fourways Life Hospital in Johannesburg.

Mr. Simaanya says the four met their fate after their vehicle over turned and throw all passengers out.

Meanwhile, Zambia’s High Commissioner-Designate to South Africa, Emmanuel Mwamba has expressed condolences to Mr. Kangwa’s family and wished the injured quick recovery.

This is contained in a statement released to Qfm News this morning by press secretary at the Zambian mission in South Africa Nicky Shabolyo.
