ZNBS Society House Branch Manager Jane Chansa says this is because technology is advancing everyday thus the need for children to move along with technology.

Speaking during the donation of ten used computers to Kabwata Basic School in Lusaka today, Ms Chansa says the world is not only a global village to which Zambia belongs, but also a digital platform on which everything happens by a click of a button.

Ms Chansa states that the society is happy to donate the computers as a way of complimenting government’s efforts to provide Information and Communications Technology (ICT) learning to the children in the primary schools.

Speaking at the same event, Lusaka District Education Board Secretary (DEBS) Vincent Zgambo says government revised the education curriculum which now requires that pupils be taught ICT skills and that the donation is therefore a move in the right direction.
