MMD accuse PF of electoral malpractice in Lubansenshi, Solwezi West

Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) has accused the ruling Patriotic Front of vote buying in Solwezi West and Lubansenshi constituencies where by-elections will be held on 24^th September.

MMD Spokesperson Raphael Nakachinda says the PF government is distributing mealie-meal to villagers in the two constituencies with the view of enticing them to vote for their candidates.

Mr. Nakachinda has further accused the PF of using government vehicles which have their registration number plates removed to campaign.

He says his party will block any avenue the ruling party may try to use to rig the parliamentary by elections.

But Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Chama has dismissed accusations that the ruling party is using government resources to campaign.

Mr. Chama says the opposition should not make baseless accusations which they cannot prove.
